Biography of Victoria J. Miraglio ![]() VICTORIA J MIRAGLIO
About the Artist Oakland
born artist Victoria J. Miraglio, draws inspiration for her vineyard
murals from the many beautiful Livermore Valley wineries and the
area’s other beautiful scenery. One might even
recognize
the Greek Isles or the Hills of Tuscany in one of her paintings. There
are hints of Miraglio’s European travel experience and her
love
of the realist Renaissance artists seen in her classic European style
of murals, paintings and trompe l’oeil.
Victoria’s artistic creativity, design sense and eye for color make her a valuable asset to local art collectors and interior designers. Miraglio’s diverse portfolio demonstrates her versatility and ability to paint people, animals, seascapes and landscapes. Over the years she has attended many workshops and is diverse in many media but prefers oil and acrylic. In 1998, Victoria moved to Pleasanton and decided to do what she had always dreamed of – To devote herself entirely to her passion and completely immerse herself in her painting. Since that time she has worked continuously creating paintings, murals and trompe l’oeil for a variety of private collectors, interior designers, commercial businesses, dozens of model homes, design centers, salons, a restaurant and 2 public libraries. Victoria raised her 2 children Nicole and Tony in Livermore. Having to work full time as a single parent, her artistic endeavors were limited for a time while working in the broadcast industry. Over the years Victoria has attended many workshops and is diverse in many media including illustration, sculpture, lost wax, ceramics, pastel, stained glass, jewelry, oil and acrylic painting. Victoria’s artistic journey began at age 3 coloring with her father. Miraglio’s supportive family recognized her talent and arranged for her to have private art lessons starting at age 8. Early on her talent was noticed and she was placed in gifted classes. She had art lessons from Elizabeth Tapper, (Seattle), Jaxon (Carmel), Dutch painter Auwina Lovendaal (Alameda), Jade Fon and Robert Rishell and classes at the California College of Arts and Crafts. Victoria attended Alameda High School and upon graduation attended classes at Laney College, Chabot College and Cal State Hayward. PUBLIC ART
